The Department of Public Administration at the Maxwell School of
Syracuse University is seeking an outstanding candidate to fill a
tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor. Teaching
responsibilities will include our masters-level courses in "Public
Administration and Democracy" and "Public Organizations and Management."
Candidates should have research and teaching interests related to
democratic governance, and institutional design and management in both
the American and International contexts. The Department especially
encourages women and minority candidates. Candidates should send

2) Public Budgeting and Financial Management
The Department of Public Administration at the Maxwell School of
Syracuse University is recruiting for a tenure track assistant professor
with a specialty in public budgeting. Candidates should be able to
teach and conduct research in public budgeting in the public and
non-profit sectors. An international focus and the ability to teach
courses in one of the following areas are also desirable: financial
management, statistics, information technology, and public management.

The executive director manages all of the center's non-academic
activities, and supports the center's academic activities. S/he will
participate in decision-making which affects the success of the
all-university Center. The executive director will execute the policy
decisions of center working closely with the Carlson School of
Management, the Humphrey Institute, and other schools within the university.
BA degree req. and five+ years exp. in a sr. administrative position
within business, govt., nonprofit, media or community organizations.
Preferred: Advanced degree (MBA, MPP, MA, etc.) with courses in
