They were brothers, I think, but somewhat different thinkers…
When I see people in polisci talking abut tacit knowledge they
generally draw on either Giddens (who draws on Polanyi himself) or
Wittgenstein. Lately some IR scholars have been using Bourdieu to get
at something similar in their analysis of practice. So the author
might not be there, but the topic is -- at least on the margins.
