VIRGINIA POLYTECHNIC INSTITUTE AND STATE UNIVERSITY, Blacksburg, VA.
Assistant Professor in the Department of Science and Technology in
Society, tenure track. The successful candidate must have a
demonstrable background and research agenda in interdisciplinary
Science and Technology Studies. We especially encourage applications
from candidates who will help us build upon existing connections with

these connections. We are particularly interested in applicants
working in bioethics, especially environmental ethics and related
areas. The candidate will be expected to teach three semester courses
per year, undergraduate and graduate, along with research, advising,
and service responsibilities. Evidence of a strong research program
and teaching experience required. Salary commensurate with
experience. Ph.D. in STS or related field completed by August 2008.
