PM tells media to contribute positively

Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee urged the media to make a positive
contribution in helping the society to overcome the "crisis of identity and
confidence" that it is currently experiencing. The country has set a goal
for progress to be achieved by the year 2020. ‘‘The media cannot be lagging
behind. It should contribute, not necessarily by supporting all that the
government does. Criticise by all means. But also support what is good,’’ he
said.
