Information and Broadcasting Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and his
British counterpart Tessa Jowell brokered an agreement during their
meeting in London for Britain to cooperate and help in controlling
piracy that has caused immense financial losses to Bollywood. Britain
will also invest in the production of co-cultural and cross-over films.
Prasad added that Britain would jointly work for Human Resources
Development in the film sector, as well.

The minister announced that Goa would be a permanent venue of the
International Film Festivals that are held in India. A team of officials
from the state government were in Cannes during the film festival there
to study the management and organisation of the event.
