[icernet] Broadcasters, Cable Operators Pass The Pricing Buck

   It’s a hide-and-seek game between pay broadcasters and cable 
operators now, as far as declaring channel prices goes. While a 
government notification puts the onus on cable operators to announce the 
individual channel prices by June 15, broadcasters are not in a hurry to 
reach out to cablewallahs with their pricing. Even as some multi-system 
operators (MSOs) are pursuing broadcasters for the channel pricing 
details, independent cable operators constituting 40 per cent of the 
metro market are reluctant to make the first move.
