  It's becoming increasingly difficult to watch Hindi serials these 
days, what with serial killer Ekta Kapoor's K obsession growing by the 
day and her imagination running riot. Much has been said and written 
about the substandard stuff she churns out with unimaginable frequency. 
What is perhaps most damaging though is that the stereotypical 
representation of women, in an age when power equations have changed 
dramatically, sends out very wrong signals.
