The Rs 50 crore extravaganza, Devdas, adapted from Sarat Chandra
Chattopadhyays novel about a frustrated lovers masochistic journey
into despair, alcoholism and death didnt make it to the final five at
the Oscars. While most of the industry still stands by Devdas, there are
those who believe that we should have picked another film to send to the
Oscars.
The Legend of Bhagat Singh would have been a better choice,

thinks director David Dhawan.
Its not only a well-made film with great
performances, it echoes a sentiment Western audiences understand.
