[icernet] Journalism award entries requested

Applications are being accepted for the 2003 Kurt Schork Awards in
International Journalism.  Two prizes worth $10,000 (9,279 euros) each
will be awarded to a freelance journalist covering foreign news and a
reporter in a developing nation or country in transition.  The 2002
local reporting award was given to a team from Gazeta Wyborcza
(Poland) and the freelance journalist award was given to Carlotta
Gall.  The prizes were established in honuor of American journalist
Kurt Schork, who was killed in 2000 while on an assignment for Reuters
in Sierra Leone. The awards are supported by Reuters and administered
by the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism.
