Stars uplink application - although the uplinking guidelines say that
any broadcaster, irrespective of its nationality, can uplink from India
- for its yet-to-be-launched news channel has been put on the
backburner. The Cabinet is likely to take up the issue soon.

Meanwhile, resource-sharing is now taking on a new meaning for Prasar
Bharati now. The public service broadcaster is considering a
content-sharing proposal from Music Broadcasting Private Ltd (MBPL)
which has the licence for Radio City (a joint venture between the Ispat
group and Star). If the proposal is accepted, the Harsha Bhogle talk
show, which is shown on ESPN-Star Sports, may be aired on AIR FM1 and
possibly even Doordarshan.
