[icernet] TWINS - AP Govt's E-governance Initiative

With a view to take the benefits of Information Technology to the 
common man, as a part of its e-governance initiative, the Government of 
Andhra Pradesh, embarked on a unique IT project that seeks to redefine 
public service - TWINS (Twin Cities Network Services). The objective of 
TWINS is "to provide to the citizens of the twin cities of  Hyderabad 
and Secunderabad, selected services and information of departments and 
agencies of State and Central Governments in an efficient, reliable, 
transparent and integrated manner on a sustained basis through easy 
access to an chain of computerized Integrated Citizen Service Centres."
