[icernet] 'India Can Bridge Global Digital Divide'

  The Microsoft chairman and chief software architect of Microsoft 
Corporation Bill Gates has opined that India has all the potential to 
bridge the global digital divide. Mr Gates said that Indias rich 
human resources coupled with the academic excellence would help the 
country to compete against all odds in the next decade, which he termed 
as digital decade.

He felt that India could develop required tools and human resources to 
overcome the digital divide. The country is yet to fully exploit its 
strength in the telecom and e-governance sectors.
