[icernet] Doordarshan's first Digital Kendra inaugurated at Hisar

The country's first digital Kendra introducing the concept of "Narrow 
Casting" underlining an area specific approach for viewers was launched 
here today by Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Sushma 
Swaraj.

Completed in a record nine months at the cost of Rs 21 crore, the 
Kendra houses the 25th studio of Doordarshan and would provide regional 
service, Swaraj said at a function to mark the launch of the station on 
the ocassion of Haryana day.
