[icernet] NDTV Ramps Up Broadcast Facilities

  NDTV is upgrading its broadcast and production facilities as it gets 
ready to launch its own channels. The Delhi-based production house is 
investing close to $1 million in Discreets high-end visual effects, 
editing and finishing systems - Inferno, Flame and Smoke. Though the 
cost of these three systems would be $1.2 million, the price paid by 
NDTV would be lower as it is redeploying some of its existing hardware.

NDTV, will be phasing out its existing Quantel systems, PaintBox and 
EditBox, which have been in use for more than five years. The new 
systems will be installed by November-end.
